Connecting your brokerage accounts to Enrich is a bit like inviting all your financial ducks into a row—once you’ve done it, you’ll have a clear view of your investments and can manage your goals with confidence. Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you link your accounts using the Plaid UI.
What you’ll need before you start:
Your brokerage account login credentials (username and password)
Access to your brokerage’s two-factor authentication method (if enabled)
Access to the Enrich web experience
Step-by-step instructions
1. Start the connection process in Enrich
Open the Enrich app on your computer's browser
Navigate to the "Connected Institutions" section on the home page.
Click on the "Connect" button to begin connecting your accounts.
2. Select Plaid as your connection method
When prompted, choose to connect your account using Plaid.
You’ll see a Plaid-branded interface appear. This is a secure, industry-standard way to link your financial institutions.
Plaid will present its End User Privacy Policy. Take a moment to review it, then tap “Continue” to proceed.
3. Choose your brokerage institution
You’ll see a list of major brokerage firms. If yours isn’t listed, use the search bar to find it by name.
Select your brokerage from the list.
4. Enter your brokerage login credentials
Enter your username and password for your brokerage account.
For some institutions, Plaid may redirect you to your brokerage’s own login page to complete the connection securely (this is called an OAuth flow).
Complete any two-factor authentication steps required by your brokerage.
Note that Enrich does not have access to or stores your login credentials. Plaid acts as the interface between your brokerage data and Enrich.
5. Select the specific accounts to connect
If you have multiple accounts under the same login (for example, an IRA and a taxable account), select which accounts you want to connect to Enrich.
Plaid will only retrieve the account details and holdings necessary for Enrich to help you manage your investments.
6. Confirm and finish
Once you’ve successfully logged in and selected your account(s), Plaid will securely link them to Enrich.
You may be asked to verify the account number or review the last few digits (the “account mask”) to confirm you’re connecting the right account1.
7. Return to Enrich and review your connected accounts
After linking, you’ll be returned to the Enrich app.
You should now see your brokerage account(s) listed and ready to be used for goal tracking, portfolio management, and more.
If you wish to connect other brokerages, just repeat the same steps
Tips and troubleshooting
Matching account names: For security, make sure the name on your brokerage account matches the name on your Enrich profile. If they don’t match, the connection might not work.
Account types: If you’re connecting an individual brokerage account, ensure you select the same kind in Enrich. Transfers and linking generally require matching account types.
Manual connection: If Plaid doesn’t support your brokerage, Enrich may offer a manual connection option. This usually involves entering your account number and verifying ownership, but the process may take longer.
Security: Plaid is a trusted industry service for connecting financial accounts. Your login credentials are never shared with or stored by Enrich—Plaid acts as a secure bridge.
